Hi there! I'm Corin (Cori for short), and I've been making things for as long as I can remember. I spent the last year trying to heal my inner child and as part of that process, I started picking up a lot of the mediums I was drawn to as a little girl. Jewelry making and adornment had always been one of my first loves.
As children, we often explore things in the world of play and for me, jewelry making became not only a process of making but the act of wearing as well. Playing dress-up held such a magic for me then and I've found the same magic is still accessible, even as an adult.
We imbue objects with the power to change us when we put them on whether we realize it or not. Adorning ourselves with objects we perceive to be beautiful or powerful or bold can make us stand a little taller, walk with more confidence, and add a bounce to our step.
For me, putting on my jewelry at the start of the day becomes a ritual and one of the many small ways I step into my energy and power as a woman and a creator. The jewelry of course is just a bridge--that power and inner light exists in all of us, all the time, regardless of what we're wearing.
The name of my line, Rüni is actually the nickname given to me by my father while I was still in utero. To me, it represents who I was before the world imprinted on me. I consider it a reprensentation of my truest self.
Thank you for checking out my work. ♡
